How do I add a Premium player to my portal?(Group Account)

In order to be able to play content on the screen you will need to download and install the player software. To do this please follow the instructions below using your selected media player PC:

 

  1. Down the left hand side of the page you will see the button call “Settings”. Please click this
  2. Once the settings page opens you will see “Update” on the top menu. Click this button and your should then see “digitalsignage.NET Premium player” .
  3. Click on the digitalsignage.NET Premium player. This should open a downloads window. Choose save and choose a location you will remember (ie desktop)This is the software that you need to install on the PC that you are using as the media player connected to the screen
  4. Once you have downloaded the digitalsignage.NET Premium player software, double click the icon and install the software. Follow any on screen instructions that appear. Other programs, like Adobe Air may also install along with the player software. This is normal.
  5. Once the software has installed the screen should appear white with a six digit code displayed. Write down this code as you will need it later
  6. Login to your player portal at  https://yourportalname.digitalsignage.net/  and login using the user name and password provided.
  7. Click on the Network page”, and at the top of the page in the black bar menu, Click “Players”.
  8. Once the “Players tab displays, click the  + button. You should see the “Player Properties” box. Fill in the player details, player name etc. You should now see a box called “HexCode”
  9. Take the Hexcode that you wrote down earlier and enter this into the box. Once you have done this click “Save” at the bottom of the page.
  10. This should complete your player setup.
  11. The screen should now display “Successfully registered” and after a short time you player will start to pull down any content that you have scheduled.

 

You will see that you have some demo content already in the playlist. This will download and play on the media player within a few moments after setting up the player.
